MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Centeris looking to employ a experiencedDirector of Securityto oversee the security operations at the hospital and surrounding facilities. The position is responsible for overseeing on the job training, fostering positive relationships with hospital personnel, patients, and customers, analyzing incident data gathered from investigations, preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the Administrative Director of Facilities.
Additional duties are:
Provide leadershipto security officers.
Coordinate and oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers.
Ensure quality of service and compliance by regularly inspecting the grounds and facility.
Promote and enforce safety measures.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, maintain written logs of all.
Provide assistance to customer, associates and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Conduct performance appraisals and implement and/or recommend progressive disciplinary actions.
Develop and maintain annually all security departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
BS degree required, Master's preferred
Ability to pass a State License test to drive company-owned vehicle
Ability to pass any State required training for Security Guard Licensing
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
A minimum of 3-5 years of prior documented management/supervisory experience in a security environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
