To oversee specialists in their duties; consult with executives on strategic planning, and link a company's management with its employees.
The required hours for the Human Resources Specialist - (20 hours per week).
This position also entails ensuring that the program follows COMAR regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Daily job duties and responsibilities include:
Answering employee questions Processing incoming mail Creating and distributing documents Providing customer service to organization employees Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data Setting appointments and arranging meetings Maintaining calendars of HR management team Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets Recruitment/New Hire Process Participating in recruitment efforts Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process Collecting employment and tax information Ensuring background and reference checks are completed Preparing new employee files Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation Orienting new employees to the organization (setting up a designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.
) Conducting benefit enrollment process Administering new employment assessments Serving as a point person for all new employee questions Payroll and Benefits Administration Processing payroll, which includes ensuring vacation and sick time are tracked in the system Answering payroll questions Facilitating resolutions to any payroll errors Participating in benefits tasks, such as claim resolutions, reconciling benefits statements, and approving invoices for payment Record Maintenance Maintaining current HR files and databases Updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records Maintaining records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained Performing payroll/benefit-related reconciliations Performing payroll and benefits audits and recommending any correction action Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exist interviews SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Indirect supervision of all staff Participates in performance evaluations on all directly supervised positions QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

(3) Past experience within mental health setting or equivalent for at least 1 year (4) Preferred experience in a supervisory position with developing protocols.
(5) Required hours for HR Specialist:
20 hours per week LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent intrapersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals (clients and staff) of all ages, cultural background, educational and work experience Must speak the English language fluently REASONING ABILITY Must have the ability to strategically, logically and realistically analyze, evaluate and develop solutions to situations.
Must be able to consider all affected areas when determining solutions to issues that will be most beneficial.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have CPR and First Aid-If certification has expired, potential candidates have 30 days to obtain a new certification.
New certification must be given to CEO or Office Manager for a copy to be placed in their personnel file.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
