at MedStar Southern MedStar Health has an opportunity for a registered nurse to step into a leadership role as the Assistant Director of Nursing in the Emergency Department at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital.
As the Assistant Director, the incumbent will join the largest healthcare provider in Maryland and the Washington, DC region.

Collaborating closely with the Physicians and working closely with the VPN, you'll join a unique and supportive culture to Plan, organize, and direct department operations.
The team provides high-quality patient care services in a cost-effective manner consistent with the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization.
You'll provide leadership to the entire department, direct nurse managers and/or other management staff within the unit and assumes 24-hour accountability for the clinical practice.
To be successful in the role:
a BSN degree is required, Master's degree preferred (or in pursuit of within 1 year of hire required).
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in a healthcare environment is required with a preference of 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Maryland State RN License and current BLS are required.
